Enduring Power of Attorney - new forms

There is an amended version of the prescribed form for Enduring Power of Attorney - this must be used from 1st April 2007. EPAs produced and signed on the old forms before this date can still be used and registered at a later date.

The new version of the EPA form has been available since December 2005 but only became compulsory on 1st April 2007. Originally the completely different Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) facility was planned to commence at this date and many Will Writing companies did not change the EPA facilities because it was due to become replaced at the same date.

As the LPA has been delayed until October we have produced software update to the Enduring Power of Attorney module. All email addresses on our database have been contacted but if you missed the message and use Legacy Documents to produce EPA forms please email your name (the person that bought the Legacy Document System) and your postcode to EPA_new@legacypartners.co.uk
