Internet Explore 7 - display problems:
If you are running Windows XP and have upgraded to the new version 7 of Internet Explorer you will notice that the first Residue form does not display the the branching options options for the second and third level beneficiaries - the missing image symbol is shown instead. The fix for this is included in this upgrade - it's quite safe to install this upgrade even if you haven't installed IE7 or are still running Windows 2000.
Extra options and styles include:
- A choice of Traditional or Modern Format Wills in the same program.
- Default opening style can to be set to Traditional or Modern - and
reversed without affecting client records.
- Improved Word macros with a choice of styles and versions of MS Word
- Anticipation of Civil Partnership now available.
- Mirroring for same sex partners now works correctly throughout.
- Trustee Powers can insert the standard STEP provisions (if none of
the first eight powers are checked)
Overwriting
existing Will templates
This
upgrade installs two new Will templates. One tries to overwrite the
existing file templates\wills\wills.ldt
The new file has the same name but is copied to a new folder
as templates\wills_M\wills.ldt

WARNING If
you have edited the Template Clauses your changes may be overwritten.
The above message always appears and if you select 'Yes' edited clauses
will be replaced with the new Traditional template. Select 'No' to retain
the existing clauses (and style) - in this case only the new Modern style
is added but you will still be able to choose between the two basic
options shown below.

Style Options

Installing the upgrade offers a choice of
which will be the default style for Will documents - the template that
opens as the program starts.
The default style appears at the top of the template
lists. Both styles generate Wills with the same text for the body of
the clauses.
The style of the Will document can be changed instantly simply by selecting
the alternative template and generating again. |

Style Variations

Note: If
you edit the template clauses, the changes will only apply to the style you
have open while editing. If you decide to alternate between styles frequently,
the template clauses for both versions need to be edited.
If you require
substantial changes to the supplied clauses, it is best to keep a record in
plain text so that these can be pasted in again if we make future structural changes to the functioning of the Will templates.
