SEV form replaces RX1

The new SEV form replaces the RX1 form for submissions to the Land Registry. When clients wish to sever the tenancy on a jointly owned property the SEV form creates the same restriction i.e. 'No disposition by a sole proprietor ...' The Land Registry also have a new version of the RX1 available but this is to be used for other types of restriction.

The old RX1 form can still be used to sever a joint tenancy until:
10th February 2009.

A new Tenancy Severance module will be available for the Legacy Document System before the end of 2008. We have just sent off our first batch of submissions to the Land Registry using the new SEV forms - as soon as these are successfully completed, the new package of forms, links and supporting documents will be available free of charge to existing purchasers of the current module.
