What's New?

The Legacy Document System is a new software development which radically extends the scope of legal document programs. Consultants working with the system will now be able to offer clients a far wider range of services and products - increasing marketing opportunities and business turnover!

Based on our experience with the highly successful Legacy UK Will Writer, we have designed a system that can be expanded indefinitely to produce any form of legal document, contract, agreement or affidavit. The new system has been developed specifically to allow any number of new document templates to be added to the program. The types of documents that we're planning to make available in the future include:

  • Employment contracts

  • CVs & job applications

  • Rental agreements

  • Leasing contracts

  • Parental responsibility forms

  • Partnership agreements

  • Divorce settlements

  • Prenuptial agreements

  • Same-sex partnership contracts

  • .... etc.

Any document that you need to supply to clients can be developed for inclusion in the system. The inbuilt flexibility of the software also means that there is an opportunity for users to program their own templates which they can then sell or rent to other registered users.

Designing the new system has been strongly influenced by feedback and requests from our many registered users since 1992. As we are also directly involved in the processing of thousands of documents each year, we are aware that Wills are the most complex of the documents which we produce and therefore, in many ways, the least cost effective. With this in mind our priority was to make life as easy as possible for Will Writers (ourselves included!). Features that we were determined to incorporate into the new system were:

  • A unified workspace - all processes carried out in the same application

  • An integrated word processor for editing and saving final documents

  • Data entry reduced to a bare minimum

  • Easier options for structuring distributions of residue

  • Formatted documents generated with a single key

  • Facility to add new clauses to each document type

  • Ability to edit and save changes to the standard clauses

  • Import existing client data from Legacy UK Will Writer
